However, I do remember how sweet he wasHis Cheeks are so soft you can hardly feel them. (if that makes any sense) He has dark hair and a big sister and mommy and daddy that are so proud of him! I'm just waiting till 1 till I can go hold him again!!!

Ok so I'm updating...I accidentially hit "new weblog" and thought hey why not? So here I am. Not much has changed since the last time I updated. I'm still babysitting. Riley will be one in Feb. and Tyler is in preschool now. I really enjoy having them.
So did everyone have a good Christmas and New years? We sure did. I'm in denial that it's all over. I still haven't taken down my christmas decorations. I really need to!! But I decided most of it is snow man stuff anyways so I should be good for another couple of weeks, right? Guess we'll see once. It was a lot of fun cause we got in on 4 different christmas parties. One with the Shirks, the extended smith family, the bears, and Nelson and I had our own little one as well. Four wkends in a row. It was wonderful.
Tonight we are going over to mom and dads. Jenson and her mom are coming out for supper. (The little girl I used to babysit)She is now 8. We still keep in fairly good contact with her. Lisa used to babysit for her too, so she and Shayla, A. Di and grandpa and grandma smith are coming too. So I'm really anxious to see her. If you ever think about it, say a prayer for her. Her mom and dad are divorced, and her mom is getting remarried. Her dad is with some other woman and it's just kinda a mixed up mess. It's just so hard to know what to say sometimes...She's been through a lot in her 8 short years. One thing that helps is her folks are really nice people and I know she's not living in an abusive home situation or something like that.
Well there I actually updated! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Ashley

  • Little surprises

My honey is just the BEST!! He went out about midnight to plow and this morning when he woke me up to pack his lunch, I druuuug myself out of bed trying not to sigh to much, and I came out to the kitchen and there sat a little white bag. He'd bought me a caramel filled stick. My favorite. He's sooo sweet! See told ya I had the best!

Hi everyone...it's been way to long and I barely remember how to update We've been really busy around here...like everyone else I'd suppose. I have no idea were to start...Probably the one of biggest highlights of the summer was that my cousin Lisa and her husband Japheth had a baby girl Shayla Rachelle. She's really really sweet and we enjoy her tons! We went on a few trips, family stuff, and 'camping' with Kevin's and Japheths in Japheths living room. Had tons of fun!
We just got home from a trip to Pa., Md., and Va. We went in for Marj and Galens wedding. I got to hang out with Janelle which was great since she moved to the land of far far away and I haven't seen her for half of forever. Got to play lots of vball which was great. Was really good to see Lael again although we didn't get to hang out much And it was really good to hang out with Justin and Joy too. On Sunday morning Nelson and I went to see my aunts and uncles in VA. It's been a reeeaaally long time since I had been there. It was good to be there again. From there we went to visit Janelle at Faith Mission. I was really glad that we could go and visit the mission. Now I know who she's talking about and am able to understand a little bit better what is going on there. It really does takes special people to work with the 'specialer' people! I'm sure she'd appreciate your prayers.
Nelson has been really busy with work for which we are thankful. And me, I'm still busy babysitting. Tyler's mom is expecting in Feb. so I get to babysit a newborn. It's exciting in a way and in another way it kinda scares me! I'm sure it will be a good experience for me tho'.
We are planning a trip to Poland in Nov. for 3 weeks. We're going with Kevin and Brenda (bmw_85) to help Kevin's uncle and aunt (bubblingteapot) build a house. Ok, so I kinda doubt Brenda and I will help much on the actual house project, but I'm sure there will be other stuff to keep us busy. Hopefully we can be of some use anyways! So ya, we are looking forward to that.
Well, this thing is getting a little long and rambly!! So I shall stop. Hope you all have a great week! Ashley

  • Please pray for a couple that go to our church, Melvin and Julie Eby. Their three yr old son passed away last evening. He had cancer. It's just so sad he was such a sweet little guy. Makes you wonder what good God could have in something like this, but I know he sees the big picture. Anyways as you think of it please pray for their family, Melvin, Julie, Keith 8 on Sat., Audrey 4, and Stacy 2-3 months. Thanks.
